ICYMI Virgin America and Alaska Air merged last year and created the 5th largest airline in the U.S. They also announced that all Virgin America flights would credit at least one mile for every mile flown. That’s unique in the biz now. I’ve mentioned before that I status matched to Alaska’s MVP Gold 75k and am shooting to maintain that status for 2018, and this fare sale could be an easy way to experience Virgin America and credit some miles to Alaska. Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
