If you missed the 100k, here’s the Hilton Surpass 90k

Amex seems very intent on rewarding existing cardmembers, and those referred by those cardmembers. The public offer for the Amex Hilton Surpass is 75k. Amex wouldn’t have to pay a referral bonus, and they’d attract you with fewer points. However, just last month we saw referrals get new cardmembers 100k, now we’re seeing referrals beat the public offer again with 90k. This seems to be inline with the Amex strategy of incentivizing cardmembers to keep their cards rather than closing and opening something new.  It worked for me, the only reason I kept my Surpass another  year was the opportunity to earn 80k a year off referrals. You should too, which is why the comments portion of this post is open to whomever would like to enter their referral code.  It’s not the best offer ever, but it’s a solid one and definitely worth taking advantage of if you’re interested. 90k after $3k min spend in 3 months.

Perks and bennies? Here are the broad strokes

If you have the card and want to refer people, you’ll earn 20k points – feel free to put your referrals in the comments.

This is the main reason I’m keeping the card.

We used the points made off our Surpass to stay in a HUGE OCEAN SUITE at the Conrad Bali – shown in the featured image.
