Currently, Singapore Airlines flies a few different routes that feature their new business class ( and uber First Class Suites). Sydney to Singapore, Singapore to London, and Singapore to Hong Kong. I’m in the prelim stages of planning another mega trip for my family next year and was thinking about some cool flights to take with my folks. Last year we went around the world in First class for my mom’s bday. Both my parents LOVED Cathay First, Singapore Suites, Singapore in general, and the spiritual richness of Bali. I’m thinking I’ll plan something to hopefully pick off some of those elements again. That’s when I stumbled across some interesting, albeit short rides, in Singapore’s A380 fitted with Double Bedded Business Class. What’s even better, is I could lock business class, and waitlist for their new SUITES…#goals.

Check it: Singapore’s New Double Bed Business Class from Hong Kong to Singapore. A 4 hour flight for just 27.5k miles.

It’s not a long flight, but seeing as though Singapore Airlines is a transfer partner of Chase, Citi, Amex, and SPG – the miles are fairly easy to shore up. At that price…it’s a no brainer for us to fly in comfort and also try out a new product.

I’ll make sure to waitlist in the First Class cabin prior to booking into business. Only 10k more and enjoy one of these bad boys…

If you aren’t aware of Singapore’s generous waitlist policy: as long as you have the miles in your account you can waitlist as many flights as you like. Once you’ve done your waitlisting, you can then use those miles to book another flight. So I’ll be able to waitlist tickets in First Class, and then go ahead and hedge our flight with a great business class product.

Ideally, I’d like to get my folks in First both ways, but I’d prefer to fly one way in business and the other in first just to review and snap my own cabin photos. We’ll see how it all shapes up 🙂

I recently booked SQ business class award ticket, PER-SIN-TPE, for 32,500 krisflyer points. The first leg is slotted for the new 78X. The first flight is 5 hours, the second flight 4.5. Due to the zoning of these cities, the cost is the same as a business award PER-SIN or SIN-TPE separately. Pretty good deal I thought! looking forward to trying the new plane.

You could book (Malaysia/Indonesia/Brunei airport)-SIN-HKG for more flying time for the same price but more flying time. DPS-SIN-HKG would be nice.

Which is great, of course, but of course those routes don’t feature this new product.

Nice. Where does the flight continue on to from Hong Kong? more flying on this product would be even better.
