I’m a HUGE MoviePass Fan

I signed up for MoviePass a couple of months ago and have endlessly recommended it to friends and family. I see a movie a week, on average, and with LA prices, I’m saving $50+ a month easily with this deal. I’m also a Costoco member, and will be buying one of these combo memberships. The great thing? As I will show you below, if you’re like me, and you already have a membership, you can combine them to enjoy this new fantastic deal. I’m not uber aware of Fandor, and couldn’t recommend it one way or another, but this deal will be an easy way to give it a go.

You need to be a Costco member

One great thing about Costco is they take any Visa card that you hold. They also accept gift cards, so conceivably you could buy Gift Cards at WalMart with your Chase Freedom, earn 5x points, and then go to Costco and use them on this membership, or other goods you may need.

How does MoviePass work?

You can search participating theaters, or a specific film you’re interested in, and book the tickets one of a couple ways. First, if the theater/movie, offers E-tickets, you simply secure a ticket, select a seat, and when you arrive at the theater you enter the code given intra app, and print your ticket. The second, you need to be within 500 feet of the theater to reserve a ticket. This makes securing a seat more speculative, but I haven’t encountered a situation where I couldn’t get a ticket.

Yes…if you already have a membership you can participate in this deal.

A message from MoviePass CEO, Mitch Lowe

“We’ve long been fans of Fandor’s library of movies and we’re excited to partner with them and Costco to bring new members this incredible limited-time offer,” said MoviePass CEO Mitch Lowe, CEO. “MoviePass is ultimately about celebrating our love of movies, whether you stream them at home or experience them on the big screen. We feel strongly that our subscription model is a major step forward for the industry, and the increased attendance that we’ve seen as a result of the MoviePass service is an encouraging sign not only for theaters, but for the studios and distributors as well

For online orders, Costco takes Mastercard and Discover in addition to Visa.
