My Metal is in the Mail.
I’d heard rumors of a metal Amex Biz Plat coming, but yesterday I saw Gary’s post and immediately called in to request one. I like metal cards. Many people rag on the metal enhancement, and I am not one of them. Is it a HUGE benefit towards card ownership? No. But, I’m not ashamed to be pro-metal. In fact, many people must also be pro-metal because it’s an option when you call in to Amex – “request a metal replacement card,” or something to that effect. And if you’ve held a new metal Amex Plat, you might as well skip the gym cause you could just put in some reps with that bad boy and look like DW at AYP. (he used to play college football for Auburn.)
It. Is. Heavy.
I’m looking forward to my wallet being weighted down with 3 metal cards: Prestige, Reserve, and my new Amex Biz Plat. 3 cards that have huge annual fees, and ultimately provide me with far more value than the fees I’m charged.
Adios old Amex Biz Plat.
I’m not sure Miles will be even able to hold it. I’m guessing it weights nearly the same as him!

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
