Singapore Airlines Devalues Award Charts
The last time we saw a devaluation from Singapore Airlines was in 2019, and just like the last time, they aren’t giving you much wiggle room to book flights at current rates. The new Singapore Airlines award charts ( for both partners and SQ itself ) goes into effect July 5th, 2022. That’s less than a month. In addition to the award charts changing, Singapore is removing the ability to bake in stopovers for $100, and limiting the flights who qualify for complimentary stopovers to 30 days. Changes to Stopover policies
Until August 1st, you can still book a stopover for $100. After August 1st, you’ll only be able to bake in a stopover for a maximum of 30 days ( some people would bake in 6,8,10 month layovers – for instance you could fly JFK to FRA stopover for 10 months, and continue on to Singapore for a $100 stopover fee ).
Stopovers for eligible redemption bookings ticketed on or after 1 August 2022 will be limited to a maximum of 30 days. Complimentary stopovers exceeding 30 days, as well as the paid stopover option, will no longer be available for tickets issued on or after 1 August 2022.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
