Dell Amex Offers
Dell is throwing some serious incentives at consumers via Amex Offers, and now that we are in the 2nd half of the year you can use your refreshed Amex Business Platinum credits as well. If you aren’t familiar with what I’m referring to, Amex Business Platinum refreshes Dell statement credits, which are $200 per 6 months for 2020, every 6 months which just happened July 1st. Amex recently had quite a few offers that expired at the end of July, and they’ve added some more, namely a free $100 to Amex Platinum cardholders.
You may be in the camp that thinks you don’t have much use for Dell credits, and you should really reconsider that position. Dell has a lot of products, which we get into detail in this post, that are outside of Dell branded products like portable chargers, tvs, printers, mircophones, cables, memory cards, etc. Let’s take a look at the current offers that are circulating.
Dell Amex Offers for August 2020 – Free $100
- Additional point per dollar – this would be 4x if you use Rakuten
- 10% off up to $1500
- Spend $100, get $100
- Use $200 Dell Amex Biz Plat statement credits
Stack with Dell $200 Amex Business Platinum credit
That’s right folks, if you’re an American Express Business Platinum credit cardholder, for 2020, you’ll receive an additional $100 statement credit for the 2nd half of 2020. That means you have an additional $200 to use on top of the Amex Offers you see up above.
Using multiple cards to maximize your offers via Split Payment
Amex Offers can be targeted to various cards, like the $100 credit up above is for my Amex Platinum, but not to fret, Dell allows you to split payment. This is absolutely fantastic news, especially if you’d like to make a bigger purchase. You can add each card that is targeted to max out your credits and offers.
For instance, I can split payments between my Amex Business Platinum to trigger the $200 statement credit, and my Amex Personal Platinum for the $100 statement credit. If my Amex Gold card was targeted for the 10% off, I could even add it to get a full 10% the remainder of the purchase.
If you think like I do, you’re probably wondering if you can split payment with other people. Yes, you can. My fiancee has two Amex Business Platinums and 1 personal platinum. This means we could get another $500 off a purchase…hello new TV.
Add in Rakuten to earn even more Membership Rewards
Rakuten partnered with American Express to allow users the ability to earn Membership Rewards instead of cashback. That’s what I do, and how I’ve earned over 100k points this year off referrals and bonus points. Since Amex Offers are triggered on the backend of a purchase, you earn the Rakuten multiple on the full purchase price. In the example above, a $700 tv would earn 2x points, or 1400 additional Membership Rewards
