If you aren’t doing Business Extra you should be.

AA has a completely separate program for small businesses called Business Extra whereby you can earn a wholly separate currency of points concurrent to Aadvantage. Yes, concurrent. Business Extra is not a replacement for Aadvantage, but rather miles that you can earn in addition to Aadvantage and your credit card points. I’d highly recommend signing up for an account as they offer bonuses quite often.

The current promotion offers 650 Business Extra points, from one flight, which equates to a one-way domestic upgrade…and YES, the Transcontinental flights operated by A321Ts are included in this.

The promotion says use BX20UPG. This is an old code from a similar promotion.

Earlier in the year they promoted a similar bonus. 650 points with one flight. BX20UPG was the code from that promotion.

And here is the upgrade that you’ll eventually use for a one segment upgrade.

Another great option for using a certificate like this is on flights whereby International Planes are operated domestically. You’ll be able to Lie-Flat for the price of coach ad 650 BE points.

You can read more about how these flights work here.

Do we have to actually credit the flight to AA? Is that a dumb question?

I registered but will be crediting my flight to AS. Hope I can still qualify, but maybe not

Hey Sean – nope you can credit to whomever you like, but make sure the biz extra number is on there
