Hyatt continues to run their discounts on participating hotels worldwide for Healthcare workers until 12/31/22. In the past, we’ve seen discounts up to 70% range, but this time around I’m seeing fewer options, but pretty good ones when they populate. In the past, I’d found some incredible offers in Hawaii and St Kitts, but after searching multiple dates I kept coming up with very little. That being said, you may find some great deals, just keep looking, they’re out there.

Let’s take a look at the Hyatt Healthcare worker discount rate!

It’s pretty straight forward

  • be a healthcare worker
  • use rate code THANKYOU at the time of booking

Full terms and conditions:

  • note that there are blackout periods and some hotels don’t participate
  • You may be required to show ID that proves you are indeed a healthcare worker
  • 7 nights max
  • Can book max 2 rooms

Terms and conditions:

To qualify for the Hyatt Friends & Family rate for healthcare workers, you must be a healthcare worker and request special offer code THANKYOU at the time of reservation. Stays must be booked in advance for travel completed by December 31, 2022. You will be required to provide certain information about your position in healthcare to complete your reservation, and verification of employment will be requested at check-in. Hyatt reserves the right to convert your stay to the then current Hyatt Standard Rate if you are unable to provide verification at check-in. This offer may only be used for a maximum of 7 nights per stay and up to 2 rooms per stay. Discount only applies to room rate and does not apply to taxes, fees, incidental expenses, gratuities, service charges or any other charges. Reservations using this offer are not transferrable. A credit card is required to complete reservation. Reservations are subject to availability and must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a one night room and tax fee. Rate is non-commissionable. Promotional blackout periods may apply due to seasonal periods or special events, and normal arrival/departure restrictions apply. Hyatt reserves the right to alter or withdraw this offer at any time without notice. Void where prohibited. Massive discounts if you can find properties that honor it – I loved my stay at The Shay and would highly recommend it.

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.

If you carry this card alongside Chase’s cashback cards like the Chase Freedom Flex℠and Chase Freedom Unlimited® or the business versions: Ink Business Cash® , Ink Business Unlimited® you can combine the points into Preferred account and transfer into hotel and airline partners

Annual fee is quite low at $95 a year + you get a 10% anniversary bonus on points + $50 hotel credit in Chase travel.

A few properties have asked for my ID so I always carry my hospital badge.
While it is a good deal, I hope this post is actually meant for healthcare workers and not for the general public.

I work at a hospital in the business office doing payment posting. Does that count?
