Until the end of the month, Plastiq is offering a great deal for businesses: use Plastiq for $15k worth of payments by December 31st, and get $5000 fee-free for your next purchases. This means, that you’ll pay the 2.5% processing fee that Plastiq assesses on payments for the first $15k, and then after that you can utilize Plastiq to pay $5k with a waived processing fee.
How does Plastiq work?
Plastiq is a great service for those looking to hit minimum spend requirements, spend thresholds for status, taxes, etc. If you’re unfamiliar with Plastiq it allows you to pay bills using its service. Essentially, whatever the bill is that you need to pay, you charge the expense to Plastiq, they assess a 2.5% processing fee, and then pay your bill on your behalf.
Never used Plastiq?
You can sign up here – Or you can ask any specific questions and expedited service here: email@example.com – just mention Monkey Miles if you would 🙂
We have a partnership/affiliate relationship with Plastiq
We don’t partner or strike relationships with brands we don’t like or use ourselves. As we mentioned above, this is a great way to pay bills that you couldn’t otherwise pay with a credit card.
How does it know you’re a business?
Make sure you use your business credit card to make the transaction. Simply from that, Plastiq is coded to recognize your transaction and award you your bonus

These Business Credit Cards have great welcome offers with sizeable minimum spends?
I’ve written about the new Capital One Spark Miles card and their new 14 airline transfer partners. The card is currently offering a whopping 200k bonus after hitting the minimum spend of $50k in 6 months. With its 2x spend, you’ll end up with 300k Capital One miles and 225k miles when converted to most of the partners. This is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of Plastiq if you wouldn’t hit the spend requirement otherwise.
I’ve written where 225k miles will fly you 3 times in Lufthansa First Class when you transfer to Aeroplan. The Plastiq fee of the entire $50k would only be assessed on 45k because of the 5k fee. The total Plastiq fee to earn those points: 2.5% on $45k, or $1125.
Currently the Amex Biz Plat is offering up a 75k welcome bonus after completely two tiers of minimum spend. The First is 50k after $10k spend, and the second, 25k after after another $10k Spend.
Both of these cards are prime candidates to earn a whopping balance of points where the fee you’ll pay to Plastiq is far less than the value of the points you’ll earn from
