Hilton has just dropped a new “Multiply Your Points” promo that will begin on September 6th and run through December 31st, 2023. You’ll need to register, which you can do here, and you’ll earn 2x points worldwide, and 3x points at select locations. I’m going to break down how you could utilize this promo to earn up to 74x Hilton Honors points if you stack elite status, with credit card earning, and VIP booking. Let’s take a look!

Hilton Promo Details

Remember that Hilton Honors members earn 10x on every qualifying dollar regardless of status. So when you see 2x worldwide, that means 20x Hilton Honors on every qualifying dollar ( 10x as a member + 10x bonus ) , and 30x in select cities ( 10x as a member + 20x promo ).

  • 2x Worldwide
  • 3x Select Cities
    • DC, Chicago, LA, Bangkok, Melbourne, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, London, Berlin, Barcelona, and more

How Elites and Credit Card Holders could earn more points

Holding elite status with Hilton, whether you achieve that via stays or holding a credit card ( Amex Platinum = Hilton Gold and Amex Aspire = Hilton Diamond ) you could be earning a lot more points on each qualifying dollar. Not to mention, the Hilton cobranded cards earn a multiple over and above your elite status when you charge your stay to them.

Hilton Member Earnings

  • Base members earn 10x
  • Hilton Silver earns 12x
  • Gold earns 18x
  • Hilton Diamond earns 20x

Promo Earnings

  • Worldwide = 10x
  • Select Cities = 20x

Credit Card Earnings

Another look with an Amex Hilton Aspire on a 3 night stay in London ( includes Diamond status )

My wife and I have held an Amex Hilton Aspire card for a couple of years now and it currently gives diamond status ( 10x) as a part of its benefit package and earns 14x points on Hilton stays. So let’s look at how we could stack perks to earn mega points on a stay in London – one of the 3x cities featured.

  • Base Members earns 10x
  • Promo Bonus = 20x
  • Hilton Diamond earns 10x
  • Aspire earns 14x

That is a whopping 64x

Book with Hilton Impresario to earn even more points

One of the awesome perks of using a VIP program like Hilton Impresario ( which can be used on LXR, Conrad, and Waldorf properties ) is the list of perks below that INCLUDES double points. We did this to stay at the exquisite Biltmore London in 2021. Truly a great hotel.

What’s even better, is that when you book with via Impresario, you get another 10x multiplier on your points ( see where it says double Hilton Honors points? )

This means if I were to book a hotel with Impresario, maintain diamond status with my Hilton Aspire, and pay with that card, I could earn 74x points. I value Hilton points at roughly 1/2 a penny a piece meaning I’d get 37% back on my stay in the form of Hilton Honors. WOW!

Overall

This is a very good promo with Hilton and could persuade me to pivot a stay, especially if it involves staying in one of the select cities featuring 3x earnings.

    the math is incorrect. 10 +20+10+14 = 54x not 64x
