Marriott Bonvoy just launched a mega promo that can earn 2x elite nights through April 23, 2023 + 1000 bonus points per night. Yes, you read that right – DOUBLE ELITE NIGHTS. The biggest caveat is award nights do not qualify so this is really targeting those who are booking cash rates and not via 3rd party bookings don’t count. Let’s take a look, but this could be an incredible way to earn elite status quickly in the year. Register here

Here is a look at the Marriott Bonvoy tiers and status requirements/benefits. With this promo, you could start with zero nights and hit Silver within 5 nights, Gold in 13 nights, and Platinum within 25.

This is where you get guaranteed lounge access, breakfast, etc. So, if you have paid travel coming up, this could be a way for you to really accelerate through the status tiers.

Making use of Credit Cards to get a big boost
If you keep a Marriott Bonvoy credit card in your wallet you’re probably starting the year off with 15 nights, meaning platinum is just 18 nights away during this promo. - Knightsbridge – a bit dated, but great location and good use of 50k night cert

- Luxury Collection property just off broadway that features a cool rooftop pool
- St Regis New York
- Iconic, incredible luxury property, smack dab on 5th avenue. Anything under 100k is a steal.
- St Regis Rome
- Beautifully renovated, 10-15 mins from Spanish Steps
- St Regis Doha
- Large, beach front hotel with multiple pools, and great elite benefits
- Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi
- Incredible location across from the Grand Mosque that is on the beach with multiple dining options
Overall
This is the best hotel promotion we’ve seen so far this year that is open to the public and fast tracks your ability to hit a very valuable elite status quickly. Hyatt had a wide variety of targeted promos, some including double elite nights, but this one is open to any and everyone during the promotional period.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.

Supporting Cast:
Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.
