OMG this is night and day better than the Admiral’s Club in Terminal 4

The lounge is located on Level 5 of the TBIT – which is one level up from check in. It’s worth noting that if you have checked in for your flight in Terminal 4 the walkway you cross over on empties onto this level. You will pass the SkyTeam Korean Air lounge and see the One World lounge on the right. It looks very posh. It’s worth noting that if your flight is an American codeshare and you can check in through Terminal 4, you can do so using TSA PRE. That’s a huge advantage over Tom Bradley and saved me a ton of time.

First thing’s first – Impression. I suddenly feel rich. That’s the first sign of a good lounge.

The One World Business Class lounge feels very new. I’m not exactly sure when it was finished but it is sleek, chic, has ambient jazz and classical music piping in through the speakers and it just makes you feel like your wallet is a little fatter than it is.  It’s very nice for a business class lounge. I would rate this better than United’s new Club lounge at Heathrow purely because of how it’s lit. It’s sexy -United’s was super duper nice, but this is sexy.

As soon as Miles entered the lounge he HAD to get on the Wifi. I tell ya…this little bugger is addicted. So we made our way to the concierge station, which is just inside and to the right, to get the WIFI password and get connected.

The lounge is in a large Rectangle and the center seating areas all look into an atrium with a nice artistic flair.

The Food

Buffet Style with a great selection of veggie and meat dishes, both hot and cold. I had two different pasta dishes and some fingerling potatoes and they were both very good. If I’d been at a restaurant and ordered these I would have been happy.

The Bar

Both full service and serve yourself. It was mid afternoon and I wasn’t looking to turn the flight into a night club so I steered away from the mixed drinks, but they had a full bar and were looking to serve! There are actually a couple of different self service areas in the lounge with wine and champagne – which is great. Cause sometimes you want to pour yourself a LARGE glass or have a couple and don’t want to get the passive stink eye of the bartender 😉

The Facilities

16 Showers I counted: both wheelchair and traditional. They look fantastic. I almost threw Miles in there cause he’s a dirty monkey, but he was being good so I gave him a treat instead: some bananas. There are also computer work stations and literally dozens of areas where meetings could take place and power used.

Overall

The lounge is fantastic. If you are One World Sapphire/Emerald or traveling Business Class or better and traveling anywhere Internationally, it’s worth getting to the airport early to check out the lounge, have some food and relax.
