Hotel Del Coronado joins Hilton!

I love the Hotel Del Coronado, or how it’s also referred: The Del. I stayed at it years ago to celebrate one my Mom’s birthdays and have had a special bond with it ever since. The problem…IT’S NEVER CHEAP! The hotel is legendary, iconic, and steeped in Old Hollywood History. I mean, Marilyn Monroe lived their for months on end while filming, “Some Like It Hot.” I’m a sucker when it comes to old historic hotels, and would choose to stay in them over some stark, all white, modern hotel that all the cool kids are frequenting. This is why I’m so excited that The Hotel Del Coronado is joining Hilton. It hasn’t been released yet what the rate will be per night, although I’m sure it’s not going to be cheap, but this will at least provide the opportunity to throw some points at The Del and experience all it’s history and grandeur again. PS…The brunch is AMAZING!

The Del will be apart of the Hilton’s Curio Collection.

This was a no brainer. It’s Hilton’s brand of hotels that are all historic, old, and muster up the feelings of Old Money.  When you’re in these hotels it’s hard to deny the inkling to summon your butler and tell him to gather the horse and carriage. CLAP CLAP! Get on it, Jeeves!

The rooms have been renovated since I stayed…many years ago. They look quite nice and fresh

The hotel is on the uber $$$ island of Coronado, smack on the beach, and attached to many little pathways to walk, ride your bike, or walk the dog ( bring your poop bags!). You definitely feel as though you are away from the city life when staying here.
