It earns 3x on travel, cable, your phone bill, and if you do an social media marketing, you’ll get 3x there as well.
It also comes with competitive mobile phone insurance. I end up paying with this card quite often when I’m traveling for hotels, airfare, etc because the travel category is quite broad compared to other cards. It also has no foreign transaction fees.

Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Who is this card right for?
- You want cashback
- You make a lot of big purchases and spend over $50k a year
Those who make a lot purchases over $5000 and appreciate cashback are the prime customer for this card.
Every single purchase earns 2% cashback which is on par with cards like the Capital One Spark Cash ( which has a $150 annual fee ), and the Amex Blue Business Plus ( no annual fee ) which caps that earning at $50k in a year.
But, the place where the Ink Business Premier separates itself is on the 2.5% back on any purchase over $5000.
If you’re making a lot of $5000+ purchases, enjoy cashback, and spend more than $50k a year. This is a big earner.

The annual fee on the American Business Platinum Card® is quite steep so you want to make sure you take a look at the benefits/credits and confirm you’ll use them every year.
I’ve found that I earn more points from the American Express® Business Gold , but I’m able to take advantage of a lot of statement credits, lounge access, and 35% points back on premium air travel booked via the Amex Travel Portal…effectively 1.54 cents per point.
I take advantage of this perk when it requires fewer points than transferring thus reducing the amount of points spent when booking.

Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card
The biggest reason to get this, aside from SkyClub access which you can get from the Amex Platinum, is the potential MQM boost via spend + the domestic companion certificate that includes domestic 1st class.
Welcome Offer
Earn 100,000 Bonus Miles after you spend $6,000 in eligible purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months of Card Membership.

Delta SkyMiles
I think most people are attracted to this card because of the SkyClub access when traveling on Delta and access will change come 2/1/25. Make sure you look at the Amex Application Rules here
However, you can get that via the Amex Platinum card which I’d argue is a much better card dollar for dollar.
The biggest reason I’d take a closer look at this card is
You purchase at least 2 first class tickets every year for more than $650 a piece. This card comes with a domestic companion certificate that you can use on first class. You’d still need to pay taxes on that extra ticket, but that could pretty easily recoup the annual fee right there.
- Enjoy complimentary access to the Delta Sky Club. Effective 2/1/25, Reserve Card Members will receive 15 Visits per year to the Delta Sky Club; to earn an unlimited number of Visits each year starting on 2/1/25, the total eligible purchases on the Card must equal $75,000 or more between 1/1/24 and 12/31/24, and each calendar year thereafter. Once all 15 Visits have been used, Eligible Card Members may purchase additional Delta Sky Club Visits at a per-Visit rate of $50 per person using the Card.
- Receive four Delta Sky Club® One-Time Guest Passes each year when you fly Delta so you can share the experience with family and friends.
- Enjoy complimentary access to The Centurion® Lounge when you book a Delta flight with your Reserve Card.
- Receive $2,500 Medallion® Qualification Dollars each Medallion Qualification Year and get closer to Status with MQD Headstart.
- Earn $1 Medallion® Qualification Dollar for each $10 of purchases made on your Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card in a calendar year and get a boost toward achieving elevated Medallion Status for next Medallion Year.
- Receive a Companion Certificate on First Class, Delta Comfort+®, or Main Cabin domestic, Caribbean, or Central American round-trip flights each year after renewal of your Card. The Companion Ticket requires payment of the government-imposed taxes and fees of no more than $80 for round-trip domestic flights and no more than $250 for round-trip international flights (both for itineraries with up to four flight segments). Baggage charges and other restrictions apply. See terms and conditions for details.
- $240 Resy Credit: When you use your Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card for eligible purchases with U.S. Resy restaurants, you can earn up to $20 each month in statement credits. Enrollment required.
- $120 Rideshare Credit: Earn up to $10 back in statement credits each month after you use your Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card to pay for U.S. rideshare purchases with select providers. Enrollment required.
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card Members get 15% off when using miles to book Award Travel on Delta flights through delta.com and the Fly Delta app. Discount not applicable to partner-operated flights or to taxes and fees.
- With your Card receive upgrade priority over other Medallion Members within the same Medallion level and fare class.
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card Members with an eligible ticket will be added to the Complimentary Upgrade list, after Delta SkyMiles Medallion Members.
- Earn 3X Miles on Delta purchases and earn 1X Miles on all other eligible purchases.

This card is kind of the business version of the United Explorer card.
It comes with a $100 United travel credit if you buy more than 7 flights in a year.
It also comes with 2 United Club passes, first checked bag for you and a companion, and if you carry it alongside a United personal card, you’ll get 5000 bonus miles.
For $99 a year, I’d say this is a better card than the Explorer and doesn’t count against your Chase 5/24 number.

It also comes with Avis President’s Club status ( top tier ), Premier Access on United which includes expedited check-in, early boarding, more award space, and you even get primary rental car coverage.
This is hands down the best United card when it comes to perks.

If you’re going to have just one World of Hyatt credit card, my choice would be the personal version.
It comes with a more streamlined set of benefits and ability to offset the annual fee.
The big miss on this card to me is the lack of baked in elite nights ( you need to spend $10k to earn 5, but can do so over and over again ), and it doesn’t come with an annual free night award.
Where this card could come in handy is if your business spends a ton of money. You need 60 elite nights to hit Globalist status and you could hit that purely by spending $120k a year on this card.
You’d also get 10% back on all your award redemptions after spending $50k…but honestly, I think there are much better places to throw your spend.

Capital One Miles
Capital One changed their entire strategy at the end of 2018 when they introduced transfer partners.
In fact, up until that point, I hadn’t really seriously considered picking up a Cap1 card because I extract the most value from by transferring into partners.
Cap1 has a developed a very solid group of partners which have been steadily improved over time.
There are now 19 transfer partners and nearly all of them transfer 1:1.
This means, you’re earning a worry free, without limit, 2x miles on every single dollar your business spends. That’s amazing.
You’ll also get up to a $120 Global Entry/TSA Pre credit every 4 years and no foreign transaction fees
- Earn a one-time bonus of 50,000 miles – equal to $500 in travel – once you spend $4,500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening
- Earn unlimited 2X miles per dollar on every purchase, everywhere, no limits or category restrictions, and miles won’t expire for the life of the account
- Unlimited 5X miles per dollar on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel
- Transfer your miles to 15+ travel loyalty programs
- Redeem your miles instantly for any travel-related purchases, from flights and hotels to ride-sharing services
- Receive up to a $120 credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®
- $0 intro annual fee for the first year; $95 after that

Cash Back, but may be possible to combine with Capital One Miles
The Capital One Spark Cash Plus earns unlimited 2% cashback and is technically considered a “cashback card”
However
Anedotally, and this is an unpublished data point, if you carry a card that earns Capital One Miles like the Capital One Venture X or Capital One Venture Rewards you can combine the cashback into Miles and transfer them into partners.
Either which way, you’d put this card to use on purchases that have no other category bonus so you’re guaranteed a 2x on every purchase
- Earn a one-time cash bonus of $2,000 once you spend $30,000 in the first 3 months
- Earn an additional $2,000 cash bonus for every $500K spent during the first year. You can earn this bonus multiple times over the course of year 1!
- Earn unlimited 2% cash back on every purchase, everywhere-with no limits or category restrictions
- No preset spending limit,
- Earn unlimited 5% cash back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel
- $150 annual fee – Spend $150,000 annually and Capital One will refund this fee every year
- Spark Cash Plus has no APR because your balance is due in full every month
