Marriott Bonvoy drops massive new credit card offers
I’ve recently had a string of stays at Marriott properties that have me wanting more. In fact, I just used a free night certificate I earned from a prior offer on the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless to stay at the London Edition. Very cool hotel and a great use of a 50k free night. I also had the pleasure going to the Maldives on my honeymoon and experiencing the St Regis Maldives which ranges from 70k in off peak, 85k standard, and 100k at peak. It’s a drop dead gorgeous resort and could be a great use of an 85k free night award night. Let’s take a look at the new offers from American Express and Chase and whether they make sense for you.

American Express Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant
150k Marriott Bonvoy Points+ Free night ( up to 85k ) after $5k in 3 months
If you’re staying at Marriotts regularly then this could be a really solid option for you since it comes with a $300 annual Marriott statement credit and a free night. The annual fee is $450, but if you’re making total use of the $300 credit, that drops to just $150 out of pocket and that’s easily recouped on a 50k free night. One thing that I would keep in mind is that there are rumors of a major refresh coming to the Brilliant including a $650 annual fee, a free night annually up to 85k, Platinum status, $100 luxury credit at St Regis/Ritz, 25 elite nights, and more. Many of the benefits the card has now would stay in tact, and it’s only a rumor, but it’s something to keep an eye on. If the rumored fee blows your socks off…this could be a good time for you to pull the trigger.

- 3x at
- 6x at Marriott
- 2x everywhere else
- 50k night every year upon renewal
- Gold Elite status
- 15 elite nights
- Global Entry fee credit
- Spend $75k and get Platinum status
- Priority Pass Select with 2 free guests
Chase Marriott Bonvoy Bold
Marriott Bonvoy Points after $2k spend in 3 months
This is a very solid deal for a card that has no annual fee and will pump up your Marriott account with 15 elite nights as long as its in your wallet. The elite nights would be the primary reason I’d go for the card. If you team this with an Amex Marriott Business Card you’d have 30 elite nights to start year off…Platinum starts at 50 nights which is a great head start in my opinion.
- 60k Marriott Bonvoy Points after $2k in 3 months
- No annual fee
- 15 elite nights every year which gives you silver status
- No fx fees
Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless
125k Marriott Bonvoy Points + free night (up to 50k) after $5k spend in 3 months
My wife and I have this card – we got it last year when it was offering 5 nights, up to 50k in value. Aside from that offer…this is a pretty darn good deal. Not only are you getting 125k points, but you’re also getting a free night up to 50k points. We’ve also seen 3 free nights, up to 50k a night, which this one would just eek out if you maxed out your free night. This card helped thrust us over the threshold for Platinum status which ended up giving us free breakfast at the St Regis Maldives earlier in September. The likelihood is this will stay in our wallet going forward for that very purpose.
- 125k Marriott Bonvoy Points AND a free night ( up to 50k ) after $5k spend in 3 months
- Silver status and get gold if you spend $35k+ on the card
- 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year.
- No fx fees
- $95 annual fee
The year of the amazing credit offers continues onward. The biggest thing to keep an eye on with these offers is whether you qualify. It’s really complex to figure out the eligibility on these bad boys, but if you’re questioning it…Frequent Miler has the best chart.
