Hyatt has unveiled a new brand for the Americas called Hyatt Studios and plans to develop more than 100 of them over the next few years with the first Hyatt Studios property opening early 2024. Hyatt Studios will offer suites with kitchens, 24 hour marketplace, grab and go breakfast, etc. It will be positioned within the “select service category” alongside Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, and Captions. Honestly…they look like nicer Hyatt House properties in my opinion. Here are some images they’ve released:

Overall
I’d much rather see Hyatt expand in the luxury aspirational market with the acquisition of Rocco Forte, Rosewood, or even Shangri-La, but more redemption options are a great thing, and these are properties that I would certainly take advantage of on work trips or roadtrips. Will we see a bunch of new builds? I doubt it, I’d look for current Hyatt Place/House properties to rebrand and relaunch with the new moniker.
