The award search space is filled with new tools. It seems like every single day a new one pops up ( Point.me, Roame, Seats.Aero, AwardLogic, SeatSpy, ExpertFlyer, PointsPath ), but PointsYeah offers an incredibly fast, free search that I’ve grown to love and use. In fact, I’m taking the plunge on this 40% off sale to pick up a Premium Membership because of the expanded search and to support the company on innovating a fantastic search feature. I don’t currently have an affiliate relationship so there isn’t a link that would also support me, this is just a great tool.

  • Pros of PointsYeah
    • I’ve found PointsYeah to be the fastest across multiple days
      • Most of the time results in 5 to 10 seconds using A to B on one day
      • 10 to 15 seconds when you do 3 day ranges
    • Free Version
      • Multi City Search
      • Search One Way on a 3 day window
      • 3 active alerts
  • Cons
    • Sometimes has bugs and false space – but they quickly resolve the issue

The biggest thing that the Premium Version adds that I value is the 7 day window of award space – I often travel in a flexible window and this feature gives me tons of options.

Multi City

Overall

There is a lot of competition in this space currently, and in my opinion, PointsYeah is inching ahead of the competition and only started in the summer of 2023. Pretty awesome and worth a look!

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.

If you carry this card alongside Chase’s cashback cards like the Chase Freedom Flex®  and Chase Freedom Unlimited® or the business versions: Ink Business Cash® , Ink Business Unlimited® you can combine the points into Preferred account and transfer into hotel and airline partners

Annual fee is quite low at $95 a year + you get a 10% anniversary bonus on points + $50 hotel credit in Chase travel.
