It’s world backup day

Who knew this was even a thing, buttttt it is, and if you’re like me, I’m always quite delayed in backing up my computer. I am, however, quite good at backing up my video since I publish YouTube videos and TikToks quite often. I use a combination of drives, a 5TB Thunderbolt Lacie and a 4TB ArmorATD. Both are excellent drives for storage, and can manage editing video, if you’re into that kind of thing, straight from the drive itself. You can pick up a 4TB ArmorATD for $140 right now which is significantly cheaper than the $250 you’d pay for a 4TB Thunderbolt driver from Lacie, and the ATD offers the ability to transfer via Thunderbolt as well as USB-C.

Let’s take a look at the G-Technology Armor ATD 4TB Rugged specs

  • 3 layers of shock absoprtion to provide protection up to 1.2 m on a carpet, concrete covered floor ( on the 1TB and 2TB models )
    • Internal Shock Mounts
    • Durable aluminum enclosure
    • Protective Rubber Bumper
  • Rain, Dust, and Crush resistant
    • Weather-resistant port
    • 1000lb crush resistance rating
  • Transfer Rates are very fast
    • 140MB/s
  • 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB ( my model )
  • USB-C ready and USB-3.0 and Thunderbolt 3 compatible
    • Includes both USB-C and USB-A connectors for universal compatibility with USB-C, USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 3 computers
