It’s the 100th PGA Championship.
If you’re unfamiliar with the PGA Championship it’s one of 4 Majors that are held annually. This year is a monumental year…it’s the 100th PGA Championship, and it’s being held in St. Louis, MO at Bellerive Country Club in August. Currently, the only rounds that you can purchase at face value are practice rounds along with first round of the tournament on Thursday. Luckily, you can leverage your Chase Sapphire to redeem points and still pick up grounds passes for other tournament days, as well as gain access to specialty tents, and if your heart desires…use your points for a VIP experience.
Here’s the info from the official PGA Championship website:
If you go to stubhub you can buy individual tickets on Sunday for about $300 a piece.
However, Chase Sapphire customers can still redeem their Ultimate Rewards at a penny a point for Sunday tickets: 10,800 UR = $108.
All Sapphire cardholders ( whether you purchased or redeemed points) have access to the Sapphire Club tent which provides the following benefits:
- It’s located to the Player’s right of hole #10 and includes views of both #10 and #1
There are also VIP Experiences you can choose:
Final day Sunday isn’t available, but Friday is…
It includes the following perks:
- Access to the Chase Sapphire Hospitality Chalet
- Complimentary food, drink
- View of hole 10
