Review: Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge Singapore Changi
The other lounge that we passed through going to the Private Room was the Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge. It’s gorgeous, and significantly more intimate than the business class lounge. The theme remains the same – beautiful marble and supple finishes. The lounge was extremely quiet even though there were more people than I expected to see in it. While it’s still exclusive, it’s not AS exclusive as The Private Room, but I think you’ll enjoy what it has to offer, but is it as good as other first class lounge offerings from the world’s best?
Entrance to the First Class Lounge.
The lounge is subtle, luxurious, and refined.
The Deets:

- Where: Singapore
- Who Can Enter:
- First Class passengers on Singapore or Star Alliance member airlines
- Singapore Airlines PPS Solitaire members before and after their flights
There are a few different seating areas.
I thought the first class lounge seemed older than the business class lounge. While still beautiful, when comparing it to The Wing and certainly The Pier it doesn’t stand up.
The Dining Room
The Buffet:
If you compare this to Cathay…it again doesn’t hold up. The Wing, for instance, has a separate dining room with a buffet, but it also has table side service with a waiter. While the food looked good…it didn’t look “next level,” or all that different from business.
The bar and TWG in effect!
We became big fans of TWG in Beijing, had tea and dessert at their setup in the Marina Bay Sands, and even brought some of their custom blend home with us. OF COURSE they had large displays of this in the first class lounge – it truly is first class.
Fruit of the vine?
Their alcohol selection is a notch above the business class lounge – several single malt whiskies and
Overall:
I wonder if a renovation of The First Class Lounge, and perhaps even The Private Room, won’t happen sooner than later. The lounges are outstanding, but when you compare them to Cathay or Lufthansa – I think they end up getting beat. Singapore is unveiling a new Suites class, and wouldn’t it be cool if they unveiled new first and Suites class lounges to boot?
