Yep, 21 People will win 1 Million miles from Star Alliance, but you’d better act fast!

I wrote about this promotion back in May when it was first announced, and I love it.  Every Airline within Star Alliance is giving away 1 Million Miles (or their equivalent). This is like playing Mega Millions with pictures and points. Here’s what you need to do if you want your chance at putting a cool Million Miles in your account.

Upload a picture of yourself and a memorable place ( I’m assuming they want a spot that one of their airlines took you to). These pictures will be merged together and you’ll be asked to describe the experience. I uploaded a picture of myself in Singapore Suites and a picture from the Great Wall of China. The final step is acknowledging that they can use your materials for marketing purposes and you have to select one airline whose miles you would win.

They put an asterisk because there are a few exceptions to the Million Miles

  • New Zealand offers 20,000 Airpoints
  • SAS offers 4 around the world trips in business class
  • Air China offers 1,000,000 kilometers

They’ll select winners on September 28, 2017

Star Alliance is giving away One Million Miles

I went through all 4 stepsStar Alliance is giving away One Million Miles

And I chose Krisflyer as my program of choice.

The downside of Krisflyer is that the miles expire 3 years after they’re in the account, but the upside is the ability to make, change, cancel tickets with very low cost. They also stripped all fuel surcharges from award flights on their own metal, which is a HUGE deal.

One of my favorite uses of Singapore Air Krisflyer Miles is Lufthansa First Class…and obviously Singapore Suites 🙂

We also used a lot of Singapore Krisflyer Miles on my Mom’s Surprise Trip Around the World where we celebrated her 75th birthday in RIDICULOUS style!
