Update: Singapore Airlines A350 SFO-SIN Inaugural flight waitlist available
In case you’d missed the news, Singapore Airlines announced in June that they would be scheduling a non-stop flight on their A350 from San Francisco to Singapore. This craaaaaazy long flight commences October 23rd and therefore I’m sure there will be some sort of inaugural flight celebration. While it’ll cost you a pretty penny to buy outright, it’s looking like there could be decent odds of landing a ticket with points.
This is a ddddddddang good deal. After 15% online discount you’re looking at 68k + $253
Even if you think that you’d like to experience the nonstop from SFO to SIN I’d recommend booking your ticket to Hong Kong.
I’ve previously written about how Hong Kong is a sweet spot in the Singapore Air chart. You can actually fly for fewer miles and less money. How ridiculous is that?!
This is two days after the inaugural…but don’t forget that for $100 you can book a stopover on Singapore Air. This isn’t something that is published so you may need to Hang Up Call Again, but you should be able to execute this benefit.
So you could not only fly the direct flight from SFO, spend some time in Singapore, you could save over $100 and nearly 5000 points. An incredible deal and an opportunity to see another city.
