Earlier in 2025, Bilt Rewards ran a promotion whereby you could match your Bilt status to Accor Live Limitless. Accor has some incredible brands under its umbrella ( Raffels, Banyan Tree, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, etc ) and if you had Bilt Platinum status, you would receive a direct match to ALL Platinum status through 12/31/26. That’s a lot of status time, and one of the benefits of ALL Platinum status ( usually hit after 60 nights or 14k Elite Points ) is 2 suite upgrade awards. Let’s do a dive into how to go about using them because they’re different than other programs.
First off, these are very easy to use online; however, the value of them varies widely depending on the property and the upgrade they specifically entitle you to receive. The term “suite upgrade” is a little deceiving since a lot of the upgrades that these secure are just better room categories at a discounted rate shown at booking.
First off… if you have ALL Platinum status with Suite Night you’ll see them appear in your account at login:
When you click on “learn more” you’ll get more information on when they expire, and how to “use them” – you can go down that rabbit hole, but the far simpler version is just doing a search.
When you’re completing a search, you’ll see the option to add them.
If you haven’t done so, you can apply it after you see results. As you can see, just about “Fairmont Chicago” I can toggle on the Suite Night Upgrades.
Once its toggled, you can see that it’s populating the properties where the suite upgrades are available.
If you click on a property, you’ll see the upgrades contingent on the room you pay and book for – an example:
You would need to book a Fairmont King in order to secure this One Bedroom Suite King. That would save $130 per night. Pretty good deal.
Choosing the base room can make a big difference in your upgrade. For instance, here is an outrageously expensive room at the Raffles London. The Junior Suite upgrade requires a Deluxe booking and results in about a $400 a night upgrade. Pretty Awesome. However, if you look at the Westminster Suite, which is just $60 a night more, basically inconsequential on the rack rate, you’d need to book an Executive Room and get a whopping $900 a night upgrade.
Lesson is… pay close attention to the room you’re booking as it makes a big difference in the upgrade.
Have you used your free night certificates? What was your experience?
