Perk! Amex Centurion Suite Staples Center

There is nothing worse than paying a fortune for crappy tickets. You’re stuck in the nosebleeds, beer spilling, nachos half in your lap, and a couple kids kicking the back of your seat. NOT THE GAME YOU DREAMT ABOUT. Well, well, well the Amex Centurion Suite Staples Center will change your night.  It’s a perk that isn’t really ever discussed and is something I use every time I see a game. In fact, I haven’t been to a game in years where I didn’t use the suite instead of sitting at my seat. Why?

I always buy the cheapest possible tickets because I know I’ll end up in the suite. It doesn’t matter where you’re sitting, so buy the absolute cheapest tix you can, and then arrive early and cosy up in the suite.Whether you’re a Kings or Clippers fan, part of Laker nation, or you just want to see a game at the famed Staples Center, the American Express Centurion Suite is clutch.

*we’ve updated some terms and policies, but the overall suite is the same since our original post in 10/2016 ( 12/19)

My tip:

I always buy really cheap tickets and never go to my seat. The Centurion Lounge has a great view of the game, better food, better drinks, and SPACE SPACE SPACE. I’ve seen Lakers and Clippers games here and always had a great time. I would recommend getting here as early as possible because the lounge fills up very quickly.

Will the Centurion Lounge be open when the Staples Center hosts the NCAA West Regional Men’s Basketball Tournament?

    • Miles February 11, 2020

Cory – I’m not sure, you’d have to check with the venue

      • Cory February 11, 2020

Will do! As I know that the Staples Center hosts every few years, I didn’t know if they had been open previously during the tournament. Great article, Miles!

  • Jaclyn carballo January 4, 2018

Is it open for concerts too … or only for sport games… also is it the card holder plus three guest or three guest with the card holder as being one of the three… I am going for a music concert so I would like to know if it’s open for concerts

    • Miles January 5, 2018

Jaclyn – I believe it’s only open for sporting events, and it’s cardholder + 3 guests. Thanks for reading!

  • Mike November 3, 2017

Do they swipe the card or just look at it along with your ID?

  • Adam April 29, 2017

Your guests get in for free?

    • Miles April 30, 2017

      Hey Adam – 3 guests

      • Dishant Sarvaiya September 27, 2021

        still 3 guest allowed?

  • askmrlee October 27, 2016

Do you know the approximate capacity of the lounge? It seems like there’s no incentive to leave once you are there. Do they impose time limits to stay or let you stay as long as you keep ordering?

    • Miles October 27, 2016

Hey askmrlee.com – I don’t know the capacity, but I would say that there was somewhere around 100 people in it when I was there. No time limit – stay as long and you’re right…no incentive to leave!
