Here’s a peek at what’s offered.
Back in March, AA announced that, starting May 1st, they would start serving free food to passengers riding in economy on flights to JFK from LAX and SFO. It wouldn’t be hot food, but it’d be free. Those flights are operated by 3 cabin A321T planes that offer first, business, and economy seats. I recently flew the route in economy, and was pleasantly surprised ( I’d forgotten about the new perk), when I was given the option of a cheese plate or snack box. Here’s a look at both.
The breakfast snack box.
On the outbound there were two options: Breakfast snack box and cheese plate. I had the breakfast snack box. Everything tasted fresh and there was plenty of both options throughout the cabin. Solid deal.
The return I had a cheese plate.
If you’ve had the cheese plate – it’s the same that’s always offered. A selection of a few cheeses, crackers, and some fruit. The other choice was a turkey/ham wrap with kettle chips.
It’s worth noting…no other snacks are for sale
