I just received this email from Amex PR stating that there will be changes to the The Business Platinum® from American Express regarding how the Dell and Adobe credits are issued. These changes go into effect July 1st and expand the Adobe credit to any US based purchase ( it was select before ), and the Dell credit will change quite a bit. Regarding Dell, instead of getting 2, $200 semi annual statement credits, totally $400, you’ll now get a annual credits split into two parts: $150 annual statement credit + $1000 statement annual statement credit after $5k spend at Dell. Details are below, but from what I understand, current cardholders will get the $200 credit and the new credits in the July 1st to Dec 31st timeframe. Enrollment is required so if you haven’t, I’d hop on that.

From Amex:

Starting July 1, 2025, the current Adobe and Dell benefits will be replaced by the following:

  • Adobe: Enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can get a $250 statement credit after they spend $600 or more on U.S. purchases made directly with Adobe from July 1-Dec 31, 2025 (and for each calendar year after).
    • Current Adobe Benefit: Valid through June 30, 2025, enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can earn up to $150 in statement credits on select Adobe purchases on the Business Platinum Card.
    • The new Adobe benefit will provide Business Platinum Card Members with a statement credit for spend on all U.S. purchases made directly with Adobe, expanded from spend on select products.
    • This means Card Members can use the new Adobe benefit to get a statement credit on popular products such as Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Express. Three annual licenses of Adobe Acrobat Pro = >$600.
  • Dell: Enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can get up to $150 in statement credits on U.S. purchases made directly with Dell and an additional $1,000 statement credit after they spend $5,000 or more on those purchases from July 1-Dec 31, 2025 (and for each calendar year after), totaling up to $1,150 in Dell statement credits.

Current Dell Benefit: Valid through June 30, 2025, enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can earn up to $200 in statement credits semi-annually – $400 annually – on U.S. purchases with Dell on the Business Platinum Card.

The benefit now allows businesses to get a statement credit just for spending with Dell, for example on a new tech accessory each year like a mouse or keyboard but also get a statement credit for larger tech upgrades, like the latest PCs for their team.

Business Platinum Card Members who were already enrolled in the current benefit(s) will be automatically enrolled in the new benefit(s) – they just need to start spending at Adobe or Dell to start taking advantage of the new benefit(s). If a Card Member was not previously enrolled in either or both benefits, enrollment is required.

In 2025, Business Platinum Card Members enrolled in the Adobe or Dell benefits may receive both the current and new benefits. Eligible purchases made directly with Adobe and Dell, respectively, from January 1 through June 30, 2025, will be counted towards the current benefits. Starting July 1, 2025, eligible purchases made directly with Adobe and Dell, respectively, will be counted towards the new benefits.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.
