Starting March 28th, the new First Class Suite featured on Singapore Airlines A380 will be in operation on the 5th freedom route between New York City ( JFK ) and Frankfurt, Germany. Historically, this has been one of the coolest ways to experience Singapore’s renowned suite without having to fly to Asia, and it only costs 86k miles one way!

I flew the old suites on my mom’s around the world trip, but I really want to try out the new ones with my wife.

Traditionally, award space has been quite difficult to find and normally just single seats peel off and additional passengers need to be waitlisted. You can read the strategy of how I did it with my whole family here.

Several weeks ago, a lot of space appeared on the route ( found by Spencer Howard on his award alert newsletter), then it disappeared, and then the A380 was announced on the route ( it’s serviced by a 777 until then ), and finally we heard the new suites would be featured! I’ve been on the lookout ever since, I mean look at this thing!

This is what a single seat looks like!

Additionally, Singapore miles are one of the easiest award currencies to earn since they are partners of

Amex, Chase, Citi, and Capital One. These are our favorite cards that will help you earn the points you need

I just found loads of dates with Two seats bookable on the Frankfurt to New York leg – 86k per person

The space starts a couple of days after the A380 is introduced to the route and goes on for ages. You’ll see a mix of 86k and 140k but there is LOADS of dates and I stopped looking after a couple months of consistent space.a screenshot of a flight information a screenshot of a website a screenshot of a flight schedule a screenshot of a flight schedule a screenshot of a flight schedule a screenshot of a flight schedule a screenshot of a flight schedule a screenshot of a flight schedule a screenshot of a website a screenshot of a website a screenshot of a flight schedule a screenshot of a flight schedule

The space isn’t the same however on the reverse – many dates with 140k

You’ll see that there is availability but it’s at the standard rate.

Who knows how long this space will last, so get to booking if you’re interested!
