Yep, you can buy miles for less than 1.9 cents + win a sweet stack of points.
Anytime you can purchase points for less than 2 cents I think it’s worth considering. In fact, I’ve written another entire post about purchasing points and why it can make a whole lot of financial sense. This brings us to this offer, which is tiered, meaning the more points you buy, the bigger the bonus will be, capped at a 100% bonus. Points and miles are a speculative gig. It’s fairly commonplace to hear a program is devaluing ( United is devaluing come November 1), so if you know that you need the miles – go for it. I wouldn’t advise just buying them to buy them. Let’s take a look at how you can buy United Miles with 100% AND win up to 250k Miles.
Here’s a look at the broadstrokes. You need to buy before 11:59 p.m. CT on September 12, 2017
The tiered structure
150k miles will set you back $2821,88 or roughly 1.88 cents per mile. You’ll also be automatically entered into the sweepstakes to win your share of 500k miles!
The general terms to win 250k miles:
- 1 person will win the grand prize of 250k
- 1 person will also win 100k miles
- 3 people will win 50k each
This is a sweepstakes. Meaning you don’t have to make a purchase to enter, but not sure you’d want to do this.
Check out line item “b” – mail by postcard. If you’d like to read the full terms and conditions…go here.
- Mail a “postcard” with your first and last name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and date of birth to

- Must be postmarked by Sept 12, 2017
- Received by Sept 18, 2017

I’m not sure I’d want to put all that personal information on a postcard? Hmmmmmm
The use of United’s miles are on partner Business and First Class…like EVA to Asia to SAS to Europe.
Right now it would set you back 80k miles to fly EVA’s Royal Laurel from the U.S. to Asia.
And 70k for SAS from the U.S. to Europe
Up until November 1st…you could buy points and fly on THAI First for just 40k points from South Asia to Australia. 8 Hours of bliss. Great deal.
