$600 to Asia in business class is cause of celebration

At least we think so! I’ve had a cake delivered on Cathay Pacific for both my mom and my girlfriend ( it’s so much fun!), and while I knew it was available on Singapore Airlines, this is a new one to me. I stumbled across the option when looking for a way to select seats online. Anyone have a method because I’m pretty sure it’s impossible? Anyways…Hong Kong Airlines has a service for outbound aircraft from Hong Kong to pre-order a cake and even a bottle of champagne. I love things like this. I’m a sucker, what can I say? I’m totally filling out the request and having one sent to my girlfriend who I hope isn’t reading this. Wait…why aren’t you reading this? You told me you read everything I write 😉

Here’s the scoop:

  • Order at least 48 hours in advance
  • 72 hours in advance on the LA to Hong Kong route
    • this is currently unavailable as I tried to order.
  • If in the USA call 855-393-3880
  • Hong Kong: 852 3916-3666

My wait time was about 20 minutes calling the US number and had a very helpful agent who assisted me.

Here’s a look at the cakes and champagne.

These price out at roughly $33 US for a cake and close to $50 for the champagne.

380 hongkies is pretty good for a bottle of Gonet-Medeville. It’s basically retail. But I wish they had a better selection. I guess I’ll just drink their normal served champagne. I don’t know any people disgusting enough to eat a whole cake on the plane when you’re not active for so long.
