Choice hotels is most commonly known as a way to get solid accommodations in no frill hotels. However, you may not realize this, but Choice partners with Preferred Hotels which are anything but economy. The redemption prices to stay at luxurious Preferred Hotels range from 25k to 55k. With the current promo you can buy points for less than 1/2 a cent ( .48 cent if you buy 55k), and then redeem them at some incredible properties. I put together a list of some hotels in the States that caught my eye, but there are incredible hotels around the world ( Both Fullertons in Singapore are on the list ) that may pique your interest.

Here’s the promo from Daily Getaways

You can buy a package two times, in total that’s 278k points for $1388 or just a hair under 1/2 a cent a point.

  • […] Choice is a partner that has been announced but not folded into the program at the time of publishing. Soon, it’ll become a redemption partner, and I doubt you’ll find a lot of use of the program, but here’s a few options that are most interesting. Choice is partners with a luxury hotel group called Preferred hotels. You can actually redeem Choice points for some really swanky places around the globe, but they don’t make it easy. With that said…here is how you’d go about doing it, and some solid options. If you’d like more… read this article. […]

  • […] If you’re like me, odds are, when you hear the name Choice hotels, the likes of Quality Inn, Comfort Suites, etc come to mind. Great budget minded hotels, but the thought of getting pampered silly isn’t synonymous with the brand.  That’s where we are both a bit wrong. A lot of the sub 8k properties of great for road trips where you need a night. However, if you’re planning on racking up the points with 4, 6, or 8 stays – you can get a much better accommodations at the more upscale Ascend properties and their partnership with Preferred Hotels. We just put a post out earlier that gives you an idea of how you can use Choice Hotel points for luxury redemptions.
