Internet 3.0 is fully underway and it’ll completely change the landscape of how we do business through decentralization. I’m a believer, and we are starting to see mainstream adoption of crypto currency ( if you’re completely lost – Google Michael Saylor and listen to his synopsis of its inevitability ).
The Kessler Collection, a luxury hotel operator, has joined the likes of Tesla by signaling that they will accept a basket of Cryptocurrencies as payment for stays at their properties. Included currencies: BTC, BCH, ETH, DOGE, and stable coins USDC, BUSD, GUSD, and PAX. Personally, I find it hilarious that DOGE is listed alongside BTC and ETH, but hey…as Elon Musk said, ” Fate loves Irony.”
Payments will be accepted using BitPay. For the hotel this makes transactions cheaper and faster – it’ll be interesting to see how these transactions grow as Crypto is more widely accepted and the implementation of bitcoin lightning is integrated.
Unfamiliar with The Kessler Collection? You may have stayed at one of their luxury properties and not even known it: Beaver Creek Lodge, Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Elliot Park Hotel, Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville, Grand Bohemian Hotel Charlotte, Grand Bohemian Greenville (coming Nov. 2021), Mansion on Forsyth Park and JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District
