If you’re short on miles…this would be a solid time to shore up your accounts. Alaska is offering a 40% offer. Points are roughly 2.1 cents with this offer. 50% is an all time best bonus, but you can SHARE these miles at the 40% bonus rate as well.
I mentioned, in this post, that this could be a good time to buy miles as they could be shared between two accounts. Let’s say you and a companion only need 30k miles in each account to make an award redemption work. This would mean, under normal circumstances, that you’d each have to by the miles you need separately. At a higher cost with only a 35% bonus
Now…one person could buy 60k miles, get a 40% bonus, pay a lower price per point, and end up with 84k miles. You can then split those miles into two accounts with each person walking away with 42k points, priced as if you’d purchased the max.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
