For a little while now Point.me has been embedded in the Bilt Rewards app ( which is free to anyone, no credit card required ) facilitating free search for Bilt Transfer partners, and that just got a bit better. Effectively immediately, Point.me is now free for US Amex Cardholders. I believe this is only for those with transferrable Amex points ( Membership Rewards ). Pointme is one of several search functions: Roame, PointsYeah, AwardTool are some of the other very good option. The biggest downside of Point.me is it is painfully slow, like a search may take several minutes. The upside is the award space is live and they search the most airlines of any other engine. I’ve found myself using it less and less though because of speed.

Let’s take a look at how the new Amex partnership works:

Go to www.point.me/amex

You’ll be prompted to login to provide your credentials. After hitting Log in, you’ll see your Point.me account change.

You’ll see this in the upper left hand corner.

a close up of a logoYou will have a limited search function:

You will only be allowed to search the Amex partners that Point.me has access to…these are them. But, you can also go to the Bilt App and pick up American, United, and Turkish.

I did a mock Atlanta to London search…it wasn’t quite right

All of the options were what I’ve found when searching manually; however, the fees weren’t right on the BA example.

Point.me said I should only pay $350 in fees vs $1000 that BA says on their site. Always double check before transferring points.

Overall

I ended up canceling my premium subscription to Point.me because of this… I can now search here via Amex and see most of the options free of charge, and for the options not listed, I can pop over to Bilt and search the rest. Savings of $129 a year. Maybe I will add it back in, but honestly I’ve found PointsYeah and AwardTool to be faster versions albeit they will use some cached award space, but it matches up consistently enough that I end up saving time…I always verify award space anyways.

🚀🚀🚀High Points Offer🚀🚀🚀 Please pay it forward and use my link!

Saving up points for trips to Europe specifically London. Hope you’ll be my first referral! Help a bro out

Remember to try links in incognito mode, different browsers, and/or VPN if elevated offers don’t show up the first time (for me higher points tend to show up using Firefox, Chrome or Edge in private or Incognito mode). Also try reloading multiple times if an elevated offer fails to manifest the first time. Also try opening it on safari incognito on your phone.
