When are we getting updates on Alaska redemptions for FinnAir and Singapore?

Alaska Airlines is going through an evolution. It acquired Virgin America, distanced itself from domestic partnerships, lost some foreign partnerships, gained some new ones, but all in all I’m still very bullish on keeping my loyalty with them. I was very excited when Alaska added FinnAir and Singapore to its list of international partnerships last year, but I’m needing an update. Starting in June you could earn points flying FinnAir, but nearly a year later we still can’t redeem, or even have an update. The same goes for Singapore Airlines ( my hopes aren’t high that Singapore will release many seats to Alaska, but still it would be nice to dream.) Here’s what you can currently earn flying on both airlines, but HEY ALASKA…where’s the updates on redemption?! Especially with FinnAir? It’s been almost a year!

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.

This is killing me as well…

They also must have semi-recently updated the Finn Air partner page as it now just says:

“No Award Travel at this time”

Yep – needs to happen sooner than later. The removal of AF/KLM and Delta have made Tatl awards much harder to lock down. However I’d say I mainly collect for luxurious Tpac routes – would love to see a Lufthansa partnership ( expanded on Condor ) and either Asiana or EVA added. My hunch is KE will soon hit the chopping block

Lufthansa would be incredible, but I feel with their other recent additions from IAG it’s not likely. But you never know! I also agree that Korean is for sure out soon. Maybe Asiana can fill that gap. I just hope they can get it settled soon as their Europe options right now as they are either loaded with fuel surcharges or limited availability. Maybe Air Lingus . Thanks for replying to my comment!

They need to get all LATAM subsidiaries updated as well. It’s frustrating flying around S America trying to figure out what LATAM airline credits to AS.
