Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI will be increasing their fees to $120 effective October 1st, 2024 ( Citi and Chase have already indicated that they will increase the fee reimbursement for cards that currently come with it – see this list here ).
Higher fees are always a drag, but there is a bit of good news buried in the change…those under 18 won’t any fees to pay. Let’s take a look at the changes – good news that under 18s are free.
- Anyone 18 and over will pay the fee
- Global Entry Under 18s pay $100 before 10/1/24
- Nexus has no fee
- SENTRI ( currently $14.50 for 14+ )
- Goes into effect 10/1/24
- NEXUS fee goes from $50 to $120
- Global Entry fee goes from $100 to $120
- SENTRI goes from A la Carte fee to $120
It’ll be interesting if the litany of credit cards that offer up Global Entry and TSA Pre fee credits will amend their reimbursement caps to allow for the fee increases. I’d guess this will happen, but there is no guarantee.
