IHG extends free night certificates til year end (12/31/21)
If you had any free night certificates expiring this year ( mine were due to expire last year ) they’ve been extended until 12/31/2021. Remember, the night offered by the IHG Rewards Club Premier and Select are valid at properties up to 40k points per night. Getting an extension until the end of the year brings holiday travel into the fold. Great find by Traveling for Miles
I have quite a bit of travel to Altanta this year and The Kimpton Sylvan in Atlanta has newly opened in Buckhead
I’ve found a lot of dates throughout the year pricing under 40k
IHG Dynamic pricing
Remember that hotels fluctuate on price within the IHG Rewards pricing program based on factors we aren’t quite sure of…is it demand? Cost? But, this imbues you to be strategic on utilizing the nights to most value. For instance…the property named above prices over 60k a night over labor day weekend.
Recap
Take a peek at your account and you’re likely to be pleasantly surprised to find the expiration of your free night certificates extended until year end.
