I’m going to need all the tips and tricks you guys have because I’m highly considering venturing into an area of travel that I know very little about: THE RV.
Yes…my first, post-lockdown trip may be a multi-week cross country trek across America in an RV. I’m still putting together the large strokes, let alone the details, but I’m very excited. I think it will scratch that travel itch my fiancee and I are currently feeling plus, I’ll be able to see a lot of the US I haven’t been able to see yet. I’m not ready to fly yet, gas prices are cheap, I’m not thrilled about staying in hotels either, and if there is a second wave, we can always head back home.
I’ve fantasized of owning one of those massive bus-like motorhomes, fully loaded with shower, bbq, flat screen tvs, and I have no doubts the RV used in this trip will look nothing like that but…it’ll give me a good taste. Is the RV life something I’d want to revisit later in life?
Ideally, I’d love to be able to take 6 weeks to do the trip, but a lot will depend on how the country reopens and when my fiancee needs to get back to England for work.
No doubt, I’ll be blogging about the adventure, when and if it becomes reality. We may even do a daily vlog as well. I’m thinking something along these lines…
So this is where I need your help.
I know nothing about the RV life. What apps should I get? What campsites are best? Rookie mistakes to avoid. I’d love any and all tips you guys have.
