I absolutely LOVE HBO Hard Knocks

Love the NFL? Me too. If you’re unfamiliar with the HBO series Hard Knocks you’re missing out. HBO embeds itself amongst an NFL team each year while they determine their roster during pre-season. This year they are with the Tamba Bay Bucs and the team is staying at a Marriott near the team facility. One of the segments that caught my eye was the Bucs star, Jameis Winston, checking in. First off Jameis is a Marriott Silver ( he needs to get an Amex Plat, get SPG Gold, and status match to Gold) Regardless, I was impressed that a UBER multi millionaire was keen on getting his points and status. Second, a Marriott staff offered him more points if he’d like to forego daily Housekeeping, and instead earn 500 points a day.  After assuring him that he could still get more towels, if need be, he went took the extra points. LOVE IT.

Here you can see a preview of the season.

It’s a hobby for everyone whether you don’t fly/travel much and can only accumulate spend via CCs or you are rich and might travel quite frequently.

I became a Jameis Winston fan instantly because of that. I’m sometimes down on myself for being overboard about squeezing those extra points; but, as you said, watching a millionaire like that get jacked up about skipping housecleaning is downright cool.
