Deal works intermittently – so if it doesn’t load, try, try again.

Buy Alaska Miles for nearly $0.02 a point, but you have to act fast – Ends Oct 23rd or when 2000 people buy.

Alaska just finished a promotion that targeted members with up to 50% bonuses. The catch? You had to buy 40,000 to hit the maximum bonus, even if you were targeted. This offer is far more palatable. If your account is targeted for the 30% discount, you’ll only need to buy 15,000 miles to get the bonus. The catch? The offer is only good for the first 2,000 buyers. This presents a rather cost effective way to shore up your Alaska balance. Offer ends October 23rd, or when they sell out. 2000 buyers and it’s over.

We keep an up to date spreadsheet that lists the best ever offers: You can find that spreadsheet here.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.

If you carry this card alongside Chase’s cashback cards like the Chase Freedom Flex®  and Chase Freedom Unlimited® or the business versions: Ink Business Cash® , Ink Business Unlimited® you can combine the points into Preferred account and transfer into hotel and airline partners

Annual fee is quite low at $95 a year + you get a 10% anniversary bonus on points + $50 hotel credit in Chase travel.

This is not dead. Just bought a set.

    • Miles October 11, 2017

thanks for the heads up – mine isn’t loading the deal anymore, maybe a glitch?

  • Christian October 11, 2017

I did a couple of these yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised that the points posted instantly. When I saw your post, I’d thought the deal was over, but figured I’d gather some extras using your link. Unfortunately, the deal is dead, or at least that’s what I got when logging in. You may want to check for yourself, but I just got the regular 2.75 cents per mile price.

Christian – weird, i just tried and it’s allowing me to do it with the discounted price. thanks for using my links – much appreciated! Dunno if it may work if you go incognito or clear your history?

    • Miles October 11, 2017

Nevermind – just retried again and only the regular price shows up. I”ll update the post

    • Miles October 11, 2017

Back working for me now…don’t know what’s up with it.

      • Christian October 11, 2017

Just tried with 2 browsers, including incognito mode, but no luck. Super weird.
