The refer a friend offer on the Amex Gold recently updated to 100k without the 20% dining credit. While updating those offers on our referral page, I noticed a change in the language. Kinda odd, and maybe it’s been there for a while, but I’ve never noticed it – you may earn up to 100k, but that bonus isn’t guaranteed.
You can see here it says ” AS HIGH AS ”
When digging into the terms and conditions, you can see “This means that you may be eligible to earn less than 100k points with this offer.” I’ve never seen that, and what exactly does that mean?
