Two Super Simple ways to get a customer service representative on the phone faster

Believe you me, there is nothing more annoying than having to stay on the phone waiting to speak to someone who can “hopefully” fix your problem. So these, two super simple, methods of getting a representative faster will surely come in handy!

One: Select Spanish not English

This is coming from someone writing in the US who is always asked if I want an English or a Spanish speaking rep. Well, did you know that the Spanish speaking reps speak English as well, and since the majority of all calls are flowing to the English line, the Spanish line nearly always has a much shorter, if any, wait time.

The idea is that if you’re given an option other than the majority language in the country the company is based in, the odds are higher that they will answer your call faster.

Two: Go International

Companies keep customer service lines open for areas all of the world. Typically, the busiest phone lines are the ones in the country of the company’s origin. However, did you know that you can often reach representatives far quicker by phoning a foreign country. As an example, it was known within blogger circles, that for years the American Airlines reps in Australia could book Etihad First Class tickets that for some reason the US based reps couldn’t see. It’s also far faster phoning Virgin Atlantic reps in the US than it is in the UK, so on and so forth.

Personally, I tend to try countries where English is the primary language like UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
