AARP isn’t just for grey hairs and retirees. This is probably the biggest misnomer about the organization that provides discounts and deals to over 37,000,000+ members…and I’m included. Lemme just tell you – I don’t have grey hair or am I over the age of 50.
Many people people think that maybe this is some sort of work around the system. It’s not at all. I filled in all of my real information, which includes your age, and they sent me my membership. In fact, it was when I was in my 20s that I was first targeted for AARP. Strange right? I thought so. But the deals are incredible. The best, by far, are the British Airways deals. I’ve used these many times, and they just renewed their partnership for 2016. AMAZEBALLS
The biggest reason for paying the $16/year is British Airways.
Yes, that’s right $400 off a business class ticket for just $16/year.
Ok, so you think that you won’t buy business class tickets. Well…
It was about a month ago that British Airways had this incredible sale of sub-$1500 r/t flights from the states to Europe. Come on, I have helped lots of people book roundtrip flights in coach for roughly that price…it was a fire sale to begin with. BUT…I ended up booking several tickets to Rome, London, and Manchester that ended up costing about $800 a ticket. Yes! $800 for a points earning, revenue, Elite qualifying point earning, business class tickets.
The Main discount was earned with an AARP discount…the other was a great promotion BA was offering a great redemption value to offset part of the ticket price.
Here’s a glimpse at the Clubworld product from British Airways…
