Citi Thank You offers 25% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic
I’m not a huge fan of the Virgin Atlantic program and honestly have never used it because of the taxes and fees that are assessed on award tickets. They’re huge…we’re talking, in some cases, $600-800 on a roundtrip upper class ticket. That’s nuts. However, Virgin Atlantic does have a lot of partners that you can avoid the surcharges by booking their flights and I would certainly take advantage of those options. The most appealing to me is Delta as Virgin Atlantic prices roundtrip US-Europe award at 100k. That’s a big savings over Delta’s own award chart, now priced at 70k each way or a whopping 140k r/t; however, it’s worth noting that Virgin Atlantic doesn’t allow one-ways so you’ll have to find roundtrip space and know your exact travel dates. 80k Thank You points will fly you roundtrip to Europe! Below is Virgin Atlantic’s chart for Delta redemptions
80k *1.25 = 100k – That’s an amazing value if you can find space.
