Fly First. Lie-flat. AA’s 777-200 is the BEST way to fly to Hawaii
If you’re headed to Hawaii it’s probably because you’re looking for some much needed Rest and Relaxation. Maybe it’s your honeymoon, babymoon, OR you just won the lottery and you’re OVER THE MOON. Whatever the reason, you deserve to fly like your head’s been fitted for a crown, right? American Airlines is flying a 777-200 from Dallas to Honolulu and THAT is the plane you want to choose if you want THE BEST way to fly to Hawaii.
The 777-200 is an internationally configured plane, and has a very nice business class. I flew it from London to Chicago last year and FULLY ENJOYED IT.
Business class is marketed as First Class on this route and features reverse herringbone and private seats. If you’re flying with a partner I’d recommend the center seats. Alone…take the window.
8 hours is too long to sit in a recliner. Lie-flat is WAY better. Look at flights AA123 and AA5. 2nd choice would be the 767-300. Still Lie-flat…but not nearly as nice.
If you’re booking coach…I’d definitely go with the 777-200 as it has a much better economy cabin. One fitted with tvs, etc.
The 777-200 starts being widely available in July. I’d argue this is THE BEST WAY TO FLY TO HAWAII.
Yes, Hawaiian Airlines new Business/First class product looks VERY nice, but this product offers ALL AISLE access and lie-flat delight.
Want to use the ITA Matrix to search…here’s a helper.
You can tell the cabin is retrofit when the seating is 1-2-1. This means lie-flat baby!
