It’s true, Delta has lowered their award prices on partners to Europe. I know, I can hardly believe it as well, and I’m pretty sure the Earth hasn’t shifted on its axis, but I’m not asking questions. This even comes on the heels of them lowering their prices to Asia as well. Gary Leff has a great breakdown of the progressive decimation of Delta’s program, and you should definitely take a look. He breaks down the historical cuts the program has made, and perhaps they took it too far and cardholders had begun to shift spend elsewhere, thus prompting this reduction. Here’s proof that tickets have dropped…Air France direct for 75k in biz, down from 85k. Econ has also dropped from 35k to 32.5k.
