Looking to stay at the Landmark Plaza hotel this week? Think again, the hotel is closed to the public. Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has booked it out with his enormous entourage, so big is this entourage, that the Plaza couldn’t even hold the entire delegation. Members of his delegation that couldn’t fit inside the Plaza are staying at the nearby Four Seasons and St Regis hotels. The reason they’re in town? The delegation is on a 3 week US tour to develop relationships and as the new Crown Prince and his advisors work to pull Saudi Arabia off an oil dependent economy. It’s worth noting, that Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is a partial owner of the Plaza…he was one of the individuals imprisoned in the Ritz Carlton Riyadh on corruption charges.
