Update 2: Upgrade Amex Business Gold to Platinum
Recently I wrote an article detailing an offer that I had received to upgrade my Amex Biz Gold to Plat for 50k Bonus points. I had deliberated back and forth as to exactly how I was going to go after the deal because I already have a Business Platinum card for the same business that the Gold is linked to. I wasn’t aware that you could duplicate accounts, but I thought I would take shot and see what happens. I ended up upgrading my Amex Business Gold to Platinum
I now have 2 Amex Business Platinum cards for the same business
My GoGo Wifi Passes have populated:
Everything is going well
I can now say that everything is going well, my account has updated online, my Gogo Wifi passes have populated, and I’ve selected my airline credit.
I’ll ultimately cancel my duplicate Platinum card as there really is no reason to keep it. I thought about downgrading it to a Green and waiting to see if that then received a targeted upgrade bonus, but thought the wiser. Why downgrade when I could sign up for it again and not count against 5/24.
