Yesterday I wrote about Expedia powering Chase Travel and how that couldn’t be integrated fast enough. It’s a big improvement over the current situation, and in explaining the benefit, I highlighted a current offer by Swiss. It had a fair amount clicks so I thought I’d highlight it. Rates start around $1280 per person when booking 2+ tickets in business class, and a little over $2500 a piece for First Class.
Here’s a look at the cities paired with London.
Swiss First Class is an aspirational product that’s nearly impossible to achieve with points.
Traditionally, we’ve seen errors occur when people have been able to use partner miles, Swiss only allows their top tier elite members access to these seats with points. That’s an uber exclusive club. These are pricing in Amex Travel so you could use points that way as well ( Amex Business Platinum cardholders will get 35% rebate as well ) But look how gorgeous these seats are:
One of the deals that pops out to me is LHR to HKG in First for $2500 ish. A nice long flight to an incredible city that you can hop onward because HKG faciliatates daily flights to most any Asian city. You’ll not only get to fly in Swiss First, but you’ll transit via ZRH. Why’s that so cool? You’ll more than likely get their Mercedes Ground Transport service and a nice layover to enjoy their lounge. Sign me up.
Business is very solid, especially if you get a throne in the mini cabin. A fantastic deal at $1280+ a person
I reviewed Swiss business last year, and would definitely recommend. You should note that not all business class seats are created equal, and you’ll want to check out our secret tip to scoring a throne without the fee. Here’s a quick peek at what you could expect.
I don’t live in London…Who cares, here’s why
If you live anywhere in Europe you’re more than likely going to be able to score an uber discount economy ticket to fly you a couple hours to London. This is a positioning flight. We do these all the time in order to score great deals like this and it’s worth considering if dates work for you.
If you’re interested you can book directly through Swiss – or if you’d like to help us out, book through Expedia or CheapOAir and we’ll get a small commission. These are also working in Amex Travel. Thanks!
Play around with dates to find the best pricing as they fluctuate quite a bit.
