No, this isn’t the start of a joke. It just happened.
The Nimbus Airlines AN-12 cargo plane was hauling over 10 tons of Platinum, Gold, and other precious metals to Krasnoyarsk and then on further to the Kopul dome mines. Then it hit some problems on take off. The hull was breached and gold literally rained from the sky. 3.4 tons have been recovered. That’s 172 bars of gold valued at over $368M.
